Networking Difficulties

Category: Network InfrastructureRelease: Platform: Windows

I recently removed a lot of spyware from a friend's computer. (1000+ different ones found) After restarting, the friend's network connection did not work at all. I can no longer ping out or renew the IP Address. The program I used for spyware removal was AdAware Personal Edition. There is nothing wrong with the network adapter, checking in device profiler, and I suspect when removing all of the spyware, some of the network settings were also destroyed. AdAware does not have an undo option, and seemed to have deleted the files without quaranteening them. I would hopefully like to avoid doing a complete reformat of the machine.

Any assistance you could offer would be greatly appreciated.
